Another mathematics teacher was arrested this Thursday for allegedly sexually raping a teenager at the Hermanos Paquito Elementary School, in Villa Centro, HigueyLa Altagracia province.
The teacher is Jairo Misael Ramos Taveras, investigated for having sexual relations with the minor, whom forced her to abortpresumably.
However, Ramos Taveras stated that it is not true that he raped a teenager, whose identity is not revealed to preserve her integrity and out of respect for her family. “Investigate, there is strong evidence (that this is not true), investigate”said.
At the moment, the Prosecutor’s Office has not offered information in this regard. It was learned that the prosecuting body will request preventive detention against the teacher.
Meanwhile, neighbors of the school stated that they are surprised by the accusations. “I saw the teacher as very strict,” said a resident of the area.
The case is added to the list of teachers who have been accused of the same incident.
