The federal government announced yesterday that it will seek to reform the ISSSTE Law to strengthen the organization, improve health, housing and social security services, and fight corruption.

In the field of health, the director of the Issste, Martí Batres, highlighted care measures focused on beneficiaries, the expansion of services such as hematology and health laboratories, as well as the reduction of waiting times and supply of medicines.
Salary and personnel improvements are also contemplated. According to the diagnosis, the medical and nursing staff of the Issste are the lowest paid in the public health sector, so it is proposed to standardize their salaries, in addition to increasing the workforce of specialists.
