Banco Agrario opened new branches in Colombia: in what areas are they located?

The Agrarian Bank was created specifically to finance rural activities in the countryserving a population that has traditionally been neglected by this type of institutions. For this reason, is opening numerous branches as part of a comprehensive strategy to improve access to financial services in various regions of the country.

The bank has launched the program “BAC Closer”which aims to extend financial services to the most isolated communities. This program will facilitate access to banking for people who previously faced barriers due to distance and lack of infrastructure.

“These are light offices of which we have 140 enabled in the same number of municipalities and towns, and which together with our 793 traditional offices make up the broadest network of the financial sector in Colombia”indicate from the “X” account of Banco Agrario.

So far this year, the Carepa and Tocancipá branches have been opened, however, in 2024 several important openings will also be made. Among them we find:

-Berbeo and La Capilla (Boyacá)

-Nuquí and Belén de Bajirá (Choco), Chameza (Casanare)

-Turbaco (Bolivar), apple orchards (Caldas)

-Passed (Cease), Santiago (North of Santander) and Santiago (Putumayo)

-Confines (Santander), Bosa (town of Bogotá) and Carepa (in Urabá Antioquia).

“With the ‘BAC Closer’ we bring essential banking services to regions where the presence of financial institutions is scarce or non-existent. These service points offer the Bank’s main services, such as loan applications, account opening, transactions such as payments, consignments, transfers, among others, as well as personalized advice on the opening and operation of the products and services offered by the Bank. entity”, said the current president of the entity, Hernando Chica Zuccardi.

For its part, significant openings were also made in 2023:

Pueblo Bello, Cesar and Entrerríos, Antioquia: On August 11, 2023, Banco Agrario inaugurated two new offices in these municipalities. They have ATMs and offer the bank’s complete portfolio of services.

Guayabetal, Cundinamarca: This branch serves a population of close to 6,000 inhabitants and is equipped with an ATM and a team of three employees.

Medellin, Antioquia: A new Business Center was also inaugurated in the Golden Mile sector, in this case, on March 11, 2024. This office was moved from an emblematic building to improve its accessibility and offer more efficient services to business clients.
