Youth Office in the lagoon with recreational and sports activities until January 30
A team from the Youth Office of the Municipality of Cerro Largo is installed in the main spa of the department.
Every day, from minutes before noon until there are people, different recreational or sporting activities are carried out.
The summer proposal began on Thursday, January 2nd and will run until Friday, January 30th.
“Since the beginning of the year we have been with the activities of the Office at the Municipal Parador developing the same proposal as Melo, bringing it closer to the spa and the people who come to this area. We have a pool table, a pin pong table, a board game, music and two volleyball courts that we set up when possible because the sand space left is scarce. In any case, we set up the volleyball and soccer tennis courts.” commented Pablo Neto Sánchez.
“When the sun goes down the wind does a negative job on the sand, but beyond that, the Lake is very enjoyable so we hope that people come closer” he stated.
“We have been here since January 2 and we leave until the 30th, every day from shortly before noon. Then, as long as there are people here, we stay. We do not have an end time” reported.
SPECIAL ACTIVITIES SATURDAYS AND SUNDAYS
“We have been here for two weekends” he pointed out. “On Saturday the 4th we had the presence of DJ Luana. “We also delivered gifts for the Three Kings.” he added.
“That weekend was nice, a lot of people came. It is the time when we have the most crowds” said the member of the Youth Office Team of the Municipality of Cerro Largo.
“Queen of the Lake is coming, and like every year it is the weekend when we expect the most people” said Pablo Neto. “The contest will take place next Saturday, January 18, so we are preparing for that” he noted.
There is a very good participation of young people in this summer proposal. “The lounge is always full on weekends and the beach is nothing to talk about” he stated.
“Last Saturday and Sunday we organized a Football Tennis championship where we had a good turnout. We were thinking of doing it on two courts so that it would be more fluid but the space that the water left us did not allow it. We did it on one court, but it turned out to be a nice championship.” he pointed out.
“We are always trying to generate activities” accurate.
OFFICE IN MELO OPENS IN THE AFTERNOON
Three members of the team are working in Lago Merín while the remaining one is in the departmental capital to open the doors of the Office that operates in the premises of the former Melo cinema.
“We are available every day from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.” confirmed. “We know that not all young people can come to the Lake, so we thought it appropriate to open the Office. We will continue here until January 30. All those who walk around the Lake who come will be well received. I’m sure they’re going to have a great time.” Pablo Neto Sánchez invited.
