SNMPE: Hydrocarbon companies paid royalties of US$1,092 million

Companies that work in the hydrocarbon sector paid the State a total of US$1,092.66 million in royalties between January and November of last year, according to the National Society of Mining, Petroleum and Energy (SNMPE).

The mining-energy union indicated that this figure represented a reduction of 3.6% compared to the similar period of the previous year, when oil and gas companies paid the State US$1,133.86 million in royalties.

November 2024

Regarding the specific contribution for November, the SNMPE specified that its associated companies paid US$100.3 million in royalties, representing an increase of 6.6% compared to the same period last year.

However, they commented that November’s contribution was 2.4% lower than that reported in October (US$ 102.80 million).

Regarding the contribution by type of company, the union specified that, in November, companies in the hydrocarbon sector paid royalties: US$51.17 million for the exploitation of natural gas and US$18.22 million for oil; as well as US$30.91 million for the production of natural gas liquids.
