Yesterday there was a festive atmosphere in the main streets and avenues surrounding the Center of Mexico City, due to the presence of thousands of people from different states of the country who attended the Report for the first 100 days of government of President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo in the capital’s Zócalo.
There was a great variety of cultural expressions. People arrived very early from Guerrero, Veracruz, Zacatecas, Chiapas, Hidalgo, Oaxaca, the state of Mexico, Puebla and Hidalgo, among other entities. Several unions also occupied large spaces in the Plaza de la Constitución, such as the National Education Workers and the Autonomous Confederation of Workers and Employees of Mexico, to mention a few.
Other contingents came dressed in their regional costumes while dancing to the rhythm of banda music or regional dance. The people of the state of Oaxaca set the mood with the traditional calendas (traditional festive parade), mojigangas and marmots. They also carried a huge figure of President Sheinbaum, while chanting slogans such as It is an honor to be with Claudia today
and President, President!
.
The threat of drizzle or the cold did not prevent residents of Tultepec, state of Mexico, from walking through the streets of the Center carrying a monumental bull made by pyrotechnics artisans.
For a long time they gave us the finger that there was democracy in Mexico. Now, Andrés Manuel López Obrador is really the father of democracy in the country and it is up to Claudia to promote gender equality and to do the same, so that the government of the people continues with true democracy.
said Miguel López, 72, a resident of Cuautitlán Izcalli, who skated down the Madero Street corridor carrying a banner that read Thank you, President, for governing for the people
.
He added that No president like López Obrador has ever given government support such as the universal pension for older adults or Youth Building the Future.
.
Angélica Salinas de la Rosa arrived from the coastal region of the state of Oaxaca, and pointed out that the importance of coming is to support the Dr. Sheinbaum for her 100 days of government in our country. He’s walking very well. These 100 days have been for you to adapt and learn about the problems that afflict us, such as health care or education. May our President continue working for the good of Mexico, we will continue to support her
.
Separately, Alejandro López arrived with a contingent of young people. We are building the second floor of the Fourth Transformation. After 100 days of government there are results. President Claudia Sheinbaum is fulfilling the commitments she made. There is great effervescence and great support of more than 70 percent for the President, for this government, she is an example of Latin America and the world and what we need is to support her in the face of the onslaught of the right that tries to discredit her. Youth is the engine of change. It is the young people who make the transformations and who are with Claudia Sheinbaum
he added.
After the President concluded her message, the popular celebration continued. Wind bands and mascareros from different regions made people dance on the esplanade of the Palace of Fine Arts, as well as the Hemiciclo a Juárez and at the intersection of Motolinia and 5 de Mayo. Claudia Sheinbaum is the hope of our country. Since the governments of the Fourth Transformation, the quality of life of older adults has changed a lot, especially in the emotional aspect, as we feel safer
added Mrs. María Rosa, 74 years old.
