The President of the Republic, Nicolas Maduroheld a meeting on Sunday with the Brazilian philosopher, João Vicente Goulart, who expressed good wishes for the new government mandate.
“I met with João Vicente Goulart, from whom I received this emotional letter that highlights the brotherhood, solidarity and words of support from the Goulart family,” indicated the head of state through his channel on Telegram.
The president added that he felt very grateful for the wishes “in this new mandate for our country, where we will continue working and consolidating our ties of cooperation and peace.”
João Vicente Goulart was a candidate for the Presidency of Brazil in the 2018 elections.
In addition, he is the founder and current president of the Joao Goulart Institute, whose purpose is to focus on historical research and reflection on Brazil’s political process in favor of national sovereignty.
