Senior officials will not have a salary increase with Sheinbaum

In contrast, he highlighted that Mexico currently registers the highest average salary in its history, in addition to the fact that inflation is controlled and the minimum wage increased by 135% and 221% on the border, compared to 2018.

Sheinbaum reiterated that his goal is to continue increasing the minimum wage for workers, which in 2025 rose 12% compared to the previous year.

“We are committed to the minimum wage going from 1.8 basic baskets to acquiring 2.5 basic baskets, that is, the minimum wage will continue to increase,” he indicated.

The president also assured that taxes will not be forgiven for large taxpayers.

“There will be no privileges in the payment of taxes and duties. Nobody and nothing above the Constitution and we will not tolerate any form of corruption,” he said.
