Governors, unions and opposition attend Sheinbaum's report in the Zócalo

Everyone witnessed the rally from a special event prepared by the organizers, among whom were the Morenistas Delfina Gómez, from the State of Mexico; Evelyn Salgado, from Guerrero; Alfonso Durazo, from Sonora; Layda Sansores, from Campeche; Eduardo Ramírez, from Chiapas, and Julio Menchaca, from Hidalgo, among others.

Along with them, thousands of supporters from the metropolitan area of ​​the Valley of Mexico, but also from distant states such as Tamaulipas, Chiapas and Baja California, without missing some of the largest, Oaxaca and Guerrero, all arrived in buses and filled the streets surrounding the Historic Center of Mexico City.

Thousands of people belonging to corporate organizations were also present, such as the National Union of Education Workers (SNTE) and the Autonomous Confederation of Workers and Employees of Mexico (CATEM), headed by Morena deputy Pedro Haces.

From early on, the SNTE spread its support for Sheinbaum on its social networks and expressed its confidence in his political leadership.

In the display, the National Union of Education Workers gave its support to social policy and decisions in matters of health, pensions and education, particularly to the reform of the System for the Career of Teachers proposed by the government of former president Andrés Manuel López Obrador and who proposes ending the System Unit for the Career of Teachers (USICAMM).

“Dr. Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, has the conviction of the National Union of Education Workers in building a better future for Mexico,” said the SNTE.

The modifications would be made to the General Law of the System for the Career of Teachers and proposes eliminating the USICAMM, today the body responsible for regulating the admission of teachers, promotion and incentives, in addition to changes in workplaces for teachers. basic and upper secondary education.

In support of this proposal, the then president-elect indicated that she sought to avoid the sale of places.

This proposal has been consulted with the SNTE bases since last August.

The document is supported by the general secretary of the SNTE, Alfonso Cepeda, and the members of the national union governing bodies, as well as the sectional general secretaries.
