The Ministry of Tourism delivers work in Arroyo Barril, Samaná

The minister of Tourism, David Colladoinaugurated this Sunday the reconstruction of streets of the urban area of ​​the municipal district Barrel Creek and left two other works started in Santa Bárbara, Samanawith a investment which reaches 125 million pesos.

In Barrel CreekCollado inaugurated the asphalted of 6.44 kilometers streetswith 2.30 kilometers of ditches, 0.5 kilometers of containers, as well as the sewer, with 24 units of speed bumps, with a cost of more than 63 million pesos.

With this execution, the Ministry of Tourism seeks the effective planning and regulation of the management of tourist destinations, with the objective of managing good management through public-private intersectoral integration, guaranteeing their competitiveness and sustainability.

In the act of openingthe official highlighted the investments what has he done Ministry of Tourism in the province of Samana to strengthen that destination, which he described as a paradise.

“Now we are here, delivering these rebuilt streets in Barrel Creekan old claim of its people, but later we will start work on two other important projects in Santa Bárbara,” said the official, after pointing out that in his management has been prioritized investment in Samana.

“In our managementthanks to the support of president Luis Abinaderwe have marked a before and after in the development of Samana as a tourist destination,” Collado added.

Intervened streets

In Arroyo Barril, Franklin and Colasa streets and the connection between the two were intervened. Also, Nino, Las Mercedes, Lin, and La Cancha streets were rebuilt, as well as Álvaro Lino, Sonia Fermín, Coven, Sandy, Moreno and Los Cuadrosos roads. The project was developed through the Tourist Zone Infrastructure Executing Committee (Ceiztur) for a total amount of 63,654,143 pesos.

After that inauguration, Minister Collado visited the municipality of Santa Barbara de Samaná, where he started the work for the reconstruction of the Central Juan Pablo Duarte and Glorieta parks, for an approximate amount of 62 million pesos.

The reconstruction of this park consists of the intervention of a total area of 5,322 square meterswith 1,058 square meters of sidewalks and 521 linear meters of containers, including 1,834 square meters of internal brick plazas, for an amount of 42,200,919 pesos.

Together, with the urban furniture and landscape rehabilitationalso includes the installation of new lights and a universal access ramp, thus improving the urban utility of this space.

This intervention also includes the restructuring of your gazebo and reconditioning of your caféin conjunction with the recreation areas.

Park The Roundabout

In the intervention of the park Roundaboutthe work of reconstruction total of the squarewith an area of ​​2,170.45 square meters, with a investment of 19,585,710 pesos.

This work consists of restoration of the existing gazebo; in addition to 630 square meters of sidewalk and 338.87 linear meters of containers, including the 320 square meters of internal brick plazas.

To obtain a better connection with the environment, renovation work will be carried out. road conditioning; with a removal and placement of 1,949 square meters of asphalt concreteas well as the connection points to other tourist places in the area such as the parish of Santa Bárbara and the Malecón de Samana.
