During each day of last February, hotel rooms in the Dominican Republic registered an average of 90,708 guests, a considerable increase when compared to the 76,500 in the first month of the year.

The document details that six out of 10 tourists who arrived at national destinations in February stayed in hotels, with an average duration of seven nights per tourist. In the case of the Dominicans, they had an average of eight nights. The rooms in operation achieved an occupancy rate of 75%.
The Romana-Bayahibe destination was the area with the highest hotel occupancy in February, with 90%, on average, followed by Bávaro-Punta Cana, with 79%, and Sosúa-Cabarete, with 72%.
