Directors of Brazilian educational units must complete the “2024 School Diagnostic Questionnaire” by this Sunday (12). This information must be sent through the interactive tool of the Direct Money at School Program (PDDE). “With the tool, the MEC will know the needs of each school, favoring the construction of a plan according to their reality”, pointed out the Ministry. 
A warning from the government is that updating the data is necessary to avoid restrictions on transfers, especially PDDE. This tool, according to the Ministry of Education (MEC), is intended to provide information for the planning process and will be used to make more assertive decisions in the development of actions and policies.
The diagnosis has 11 blocks and 26 themes that identify the situation and needs of each school. “This tool is essential to support the manager in making decisions”, defended the MEC.
The questionnaire brings, according to the MEC’s assessment, conceptual insights into the school’s reality that direct attention to relevant aspects of the institution’s functioning. The government understands that this process seeks to improve basic education and educational management in the country.
