Search for boat and missing crew members intensified in Zorritos

The Port Captaincy of Zorritos, in coordination with coast guard units, has deployed an intensive operation to locate the vessel “Ángel de la Luz II” and its four crew members, missing after an alleged assault on the Bank of Máncora on January 8.

Naval personnel carry out maritime search actions with the support of the Interdiction Patrol Vessel PI-1303 and the BAP “Río Pativilca”. In addition, it is planned to incorporate a Fokker F60 aircraft to reinforce operations in the search area. The vessels sailing in the area have been alerted to collaborate in these tasks.

On the other hand, it was reported that the Captaincy of Puerto Bolívar, in Ecuador, has been notified to coordinate binational efforts in the rescue.

The Captaincy of Zorritos reaffirms its commitment to safeguarding human life in the aquatic environment and will continue the search for the missing crew members.
