It is not ruled out that they may be summoned to give their testimony on the same day. The worker in Congressman Edwin Martínez’s office, Isabel Cajo, and the former president of Congress, Alejandro Soto, will be summoned to testify to the Oversight Commission next week, as part of the investigations into the Andrea Vidal case.
“Next week, all those involved who have not come will be summoned, as is the case of Miss Isabel Cajo, two other additional ladies (one of them could be Alexandra Gil), and the president (Eduardo Salhuana) and the former president of Congress (Alejandro Soto),” Congressman Carlos Zeballos, member of the Oversight Commission, told Perú21.
Congressman Carlos Zeballos confirms to Perú21 that Isabel Cajo and Alejandro Soto will be summoned to testify, next week, to the Oversight Commission.
The date of the summons for Cajo and the other two former Congress workers could be Wednesday the 15th or Thursday the 16th of the following week, because they are the scheduled dates of the sessions of the aforementioned commission.
Soto could be called to testify, in the same way, on one of those two days, and the possibility remains open that both could coincide on the same date. This is because the head of the Oversight Commission, Juan Burgos, has told this newspaper that Soto would be summoned to testify on Wednesday the 15th or Thursday the 16th, and would later invite Salhuana.
CASH CONTRACT
Isabel Cajo, in the session, will have to give the name of the person who recommended her to be hired in Congress. This is because Congresswoman Norma Yarrow released a special addendum to Cajo’s hiring, dated April 1, 2024 —published in Perú21—, in which text she states that the provision of that document was “authorized” by the then president. of the legislative body, which was Alejandro Soto.
At the close of this edition, Congressman Edwin Martínez confirmed that Cajo continues working in his office for “about 15 more days.”
I KNEW THAT
-Salhuana said that he will not resign, and that he will change the general director of administration, Carlos Pais, and the heads of HR. HH. and Logistics.
Salhuana told Perú21 that he will not step aside, despite the fact that they have already presented a motion of censure against him.
-The Honor and Democracy bench presented a motion of censure against Salhuana.
