Garbage crisis: El Tambo workers and officials carry out public cleaning day

From 6:00 in the morning, the workers and officials of the District Municipality of El Tambo, in the province of Huancayo, carried out a day of public cleaning. This measure was adopted after the solid waste crisis that has reached alarming levels.

The municipal manager, Patricia Alcántara, pointed out that the work was carried out in 21 strategic points with 5 trucks that are available for cleaning. Workers and officials were provided with masks and other supplies for the day.

Mayor Cesar Llallico joined the cleaning work in the Justice, Peace and Life sector, and said that these actions are an example of the attention to the problem for the well-being of the neighbors.

During the cleaning work, the trucks transporting garbage were observed completely full, and residents of other sectors of El Tambo continued to report accumulations of garbage in their sector.
