The president of the Encuentro Ciudadano political party, Delsa Solórzano, and former mayor of the Sucre municipality, in the state of Miranda, Carlos Ocariz, believe that political change will be achieved in the country; Therefore, they ask citizens to continue trusting the political leadership of María Corina Machado and Edmundo González.
Solórzano, who has not appeared in public life for months, issued a statement this Saturday, January 11, after Nicolás Maduro was sworn in for a third term, in which he recalled that every sacrifice has been worth it because “Venezuela is worth it.” , although he maintains that the challenges have been immense and the circumstances adverse.
For its part, Ocariz published a message on x in which he recommends that citizens continue to “trust in the leadership that brought us here, María Corina Machado and Edmundo González, who time and again have shown us their enormous commitment to Venezuelans.”

Delsa Solórzano affirms that the country “is at a critical moment that requires unity among democratic forces to achieve the change that the majority of Venezuelans long for” and, like Ocariz, asserts that Machado and González emerged as “key figures in this new stage” and assures that the Unitary Platform “presents itself as a united front with the commitment to rebuild a free, fair and prosperous Venezuela.”
In the same way, the representative of Encuentro Ciudadano explains that while the change comes, she remains committed to those who have family members detained, persecuted or whose human rights are violated: «My commitment to each one of them is inalienable: I will continue fighting, documenting and demanding justice before international organizations,” he says.
