Following the arrest of psychologist Pedro Miguel Solano Ayala (40) from the Junín Medical Legal Unit III, accused of asking a 43-year-old woman, a victim of violence, for sexual favors in exchange for helping her with a psychological evaluation report, the Institute of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences of the Public Ministry, issued a statement in which it announced that it began with the disciplined administrative procedure, in addition to the criminal investigation.

In the statement, they explain that if the facts are proven, the work obligations of the psychologist Pedro Miguel will be terminated, due to the transgression of ethical principles in the exercise of public office. Likewise, the Institute of Legal Medicine has been collaborating with the preliminary investigation of the alleged crime of passive bribery, to the detriment of the 43-year-old woman, a victim of physical and psychological violence by her ex-partner. The institution rejected any act of corruption that violates professional ethics, integrity and reputation.

Similarly, the College of Psychologists of Peru spoke out, and rejected any conduct that violates human rights, professional ethics and dignity of people, called on the authorities to carry out investigations and urged citizens to avoid hasty judgments that could harm the image of the parties involved.
