The president of Nicaragua, Daniel Ortega, will not attend the investiture this Friday of Nicolás Maduroin which he will be represented by a delegation made up of ministers and deputies, among other officials, reported the Nicaraguan vice president and first lady, Rosario Murillo.
“We are proud of our presence in that beloved Venezuela. Where a delegation of 16 colleagues, led by our Hero Orlando Tardencilla, Minister and Advisor for International Policies,” said Murillo, as reported by the portal on the 19th.

Also making up the Sandinista delegation are the Minister of Women, Lucien Guevara; the co-secretary of Creative Economy, Luis Morales; deputies Loria Raquel Dixon and Amada Pineda Aráuz; the general director of educational planning of the Ministry of Education, Nora Cuadra, and the ambassador on special mission, Gadiel Arce, among others, according to the official portal.
The Nicaraguan mission will participate “at the solemn swearing-in of comrade Nicolás Maduro” and also in the “International Anti-Fascist Festival ‘For a New World'”, according to the information on the portal.
Venezuela and Nicaragua maintain close political relations and have joined forces against what they call “foreign interventionism“by the United States and other Western countries that consider the actions of Presidents Maduro and Ortega undemocratic.
Díaz-Canel has already arrived in Caracas
Meanwhile, the president of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel arrived in Venezuela this Friday to attend the investiture ceremony of the Presidency.

The Cuban president arrived in the oil nation around 8:20 a.m. local time (12:20 GMT) and was received by the Minister of Science and Technology, Gabriela Jiménez, according to the state channel Venezolana de Televisión (VTV).
According to the state media, Díaz-Canel will accompany Maduro in the inauguration that will take place at the headquarters of the National Assembly (AN, Parliament), in Caracas, after the National Electoral Council (CNE) proclaimed it as the winner of the presidential elections on July 28, despite the fact that the majority opposition claims the victory of González Urrutia by a wide margin.
