The governor of Táchira stateFreddy Bernal, announced that Venezuela closes its borders with Colombia from this Friday until January 13 in the face of “an international conspiracy to disturb the peace” of the population.

“On this occasion we have information of an international conspiracy to disturb the peace of Venezuelans and, especially, of this border area,” he said.
The governor urged the understanding of the population that normally circulates between Colombia and Venezuela so that they understand the reason for the measure taken “on instructions from President Nicolás Maduro, the closure of the border with Colombia from 5 in the morning today. until 5 in the morning on Monday.”
Likewise, he guaranteed that they have absolute control of the state and that they will guarantee, under any circumstance, “the tranquility and peace of all the people of Tachira.”
