The Tiranapampa treatment plant has already been executed at 100% of its capacity, managing to treat up to 220 tons of waste during the Christmas and New Year holidays, as reported by the provincial mayor Dennys Cuba at the last meeting of Neighborhood Councils. However, There are improvements that have had to be implemented by investing more than 1 million soles in components such as software and other additional components.
But this is not the only additional investment for the operation of the treatment plant since the implementation of a laboratory is also required, for which an additional million will be allocated in 2025.
“The plant is one of the first in the region and we must implement policies such as waste segregation,” he emphasized. This process must be executed urgently to optimize the use of Tiranapampa.
It should be made more functional
Cuba stated that automation and software have allowed the plant to operate efficiently. However, it is necessary to optimize resources and increase treatment capacity, which is currently 30 tons per day, with the goal of reaching between 70 and 80 tons.
The mayor also pointed out that this will require a second plant with an approximate budget of 20 million soles to enhance the functionality of the system.
Among the necessary improvements are the collection of technical observations and the implementation of an adequate process for the treatment of organic waste, where biol and compost are produced. The current management has invested approximately 15 million in public cleaning and continues working.
