Martínez Reyes was being actively sought through arrest warrant No. 2024-AJ0026790 for his involvement in multiple homicides.
According to the preliminary report, “Leito”, upon noticing the presence of the agents in a house under construction, opened fire with a short weapon, forcing the police members to repel the attack, causing the injuries that later caused his death.
The deceased was seized with a Taurus brand pistol, caliber 9mm, series TZC03919, which he was carrying illegally. The weapon, when cleared, appears in the name of Nelson de Paula García, who was killed along with his companion in an event that occurred in June 2022.

Martínez Reyes (a) Leito was identified as responsible for the deaths of Jhan Carlos González Díaz (27 years old), Andrickson Pérez Báez (41 years old) and Wilmer Coral Urbáez, who was injured, in different events that occurred in 2024 and 2022 in the Villa Consuelo and San Carlos sectors of the National District.
