Recently, the artist was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at a clinic in Bogotá, after facing a series of medical complications that have aggravated his condition.

At the end of October 2024, Miguel Ángel suffered four serious heart attacks that led him to undergo three intubation processes. However, his situation worsened over time due to the formation of blood clots, forcing doctors to make drastic decisions to save his life.
In an unexpected turn, specialists decided to amputate his right leg as an emergency measure, given the severity of his clinical condition.
On December 31, after waking up from a coma, Miguel Ángel received the painful news about the amputation of his leg. Despite the magnitude of the situation, his mother, Yolanda Rinconrevealed that the young singer faced the news with “calm and strength.”
Miguel Ángel Díaz’s health was complicated by an infection
However, the challenges for Michelangelo did not end there. On Sunday, January 5, the artist had severe stomach pain, which caused concern in his family. After being evaluated, it was discovered that Miguel Ángel suffered from peritonitisa serious infection that affected several of his vital organs and further complicated his medical situation.
Through her Instagram account, Yolanda Rincón shared the dramatic news and expressed her anguish: «When the result came out they told us the bad news that my son had peritonitis. This led him to lose his peritoneal catheter due to a severe infection. “In addition, the infection has affected all his organs and he decompensated so much that it was necessary to intubate him again.” With this, there are now four times that Miguel Ángel has been intubated in the last three months.
Despite the adversities, Yolanda highlighted the courage of her son, who, aware of the seriousness of his situation, asked for a prayer and expressed his desire to be awakened after the new intubation.
«My son is very brave, a true warrior of God. He asked me to bless him and say a prayer for God to protect him. “He looked at the doctor who was going to intubate him and said: ‘Doctor, promise me that you are going to wake me up,’” Yolanda said on her Instagram account.
Doctors gave bad news: “He could die at any moment”
The young man’s health situation remains critical, and his mother has indicated that, according to doctors, he could die at any time due to the severity of his condition.
“The intensive care doctor told me that we should be prepared because Miguel could die at any moment, he is very sick,” Yolanda commented. However, despite the adverse prognoses, his family continues to cling to the hope of a miracle.
This difficult moment has brought the Díaz family and their followers together even more, who keep Miguel Ángel in their prayers and hope that, with God’s help, he will be able to overcome this new battle for his life.
