Municipality of Rio Branco tosupports activities in addition to taking charge of the campsite, the cabins and waste collection
Since the last days of last year, intense movement has been observed in the main spa of the department and the region.
In several ways, the Municipal Government of Río Branco supports the different activities that are being carried out in Lago Merín beyond taking charge of the camping, the cabins and the collection of household waste, among other things.
In terms of tourist attractions, there are several proposals for the coming days.
“The evaluation of the start of the season is positive since we are observing good movement both in the accommodation and in the campsite. You see a lot of people, a lot of tourists, in the spa” stood out Sebastian Silveira.
“We have the cabins and the campsite” he remembered. “The cabins are full until January 20 and the campsite worked very well during the holiday and weekend. We believe that the next one will be the same” estimated.
“There is always the expectation that Reina del Lago will arrive, which is the highest point of the season. “It is the date when the most tourists come to the spa” said.
He assured that there is no point of comparison between last season and the current one. “The previous one started January 3 or 4 and this one started much earlier. Without a doubt, the route in good condition has been helping a lot. We can see that in traffic. In my case I have to go back and forth to Rio Branco every day and the last time I go to the border, around 11:30 p.m., the movement of cars on the road is impressive. “These are undoubtedly tourists who come to the spa for the day and then return to their homes.” commented the person in charge of the Tourism Area of the Municipality of Río Branco.
“Last year that didn’t happen because the route was impossible to travel. Without a doubt that factor had an impact, it played a trick. This year everything is going very well and the route is impeccable” stood out.
The beach area is in good condition. “Although the Laguna is high because of everything that happened during the winter, it is very beautiful. There is sand, it is comfortable and with space to receive everyone. “This ensures that tourists can have a peaceful summer.” Silveira said.
ACTIVITIES SUPPORTED BY THE MUNICIPALITY
“The Municipal Government in one way or another supports all the activities that take place in the spa. “If it’s not with personnel, it’s with logistics.” he remarked.
“This weekend we start with the Summer Touches, organized by the Municipality there at the Parador. Two or three artists will perform on Fridays and another two or three on Saturdays. “This will be done every Friday and Saturday in January and February.” assured the Tourism Manager of the Municipality of Río Branco.
“It’s a way to extend the season. We even set up a food court at the Parador so that those who are going to enjoy the Summer Touches can eat something there.” reported.
Sebastián Silveira confirmed his support for the Siempre Sirenas and Sirenita Merín contests that will take place tomorrow and the day after. “It goes without saying that we have support for Reina del Lago with some logistics, implementing the services that run until later precisely because of the demand it requires” argument.
“We are going to support the sports activities that will be in the sports area with accommodation and also with some awards. We have the popular MB del Toqui that we will also be supporting, including with accommodation the first days of February” broad.

REINFORCED WASTE COLLECTION
Although it is not his area, the Tourism Manager of the Municipality of Río Branco highlighted the task that the collection officials have been carrying out. “The Services colleague, Javier Techera, and his officials do a very good job at the spa since if necessary they come up to 3 times a day” he assured.
“I have a route within the spa with the main points, where the shops are, which I walk through mid-morning, around noon and in the afternoon to check that there is no excess waste. “We are controlling closely so that the garbage is not piled up in the corners” Sebastián Silveira concluded by saying.
