Santo Domingo.- A nurse was the victim of a robbery and fears for her life, as she faces her attacker face to face.
In a statement distributed in the press, the nurse from the municipality of Cabral, Freddy Esther Pérez, reported that she fears for her life when facing face to face with an antisocial man who attacked her and took her belongings violently, and that he is still a fugitive from justice.
“Walking through the streets of my town is no longer and will not be the same due to the wave of robberies that have been recorded for several months in our neighborhoods, including Majagual,” he said.
She narrated the odyssey she experienced when facing her executioner face to face, who first intimidated her and then attacked her.
“I was returning from my sister’s house and when I arrived at Pablo Urbáez Street, near my house, an individual appeared out of nowhere and asked me if I was scared and if I was afraid of being robbed, and he immediately snatched my hand. purse in such a violent manner that it left me with several physical injuries on my left lower limb.”
He said that among the stolen belongings was the sum of more than 5 thousand pesos in cash, his wallet, the keys to his home and some medications that he had bought for his son.
He says that that corner where he suffered the attack urgently deserves lighting because it is “completely dark.”
“Some time ago in that place there was a sexual assault against a woman and I thank God that I did not suffer the same bad luck as her; Therefore, I ask the municipal authorities to continue with the lighting of all the streets, especially Pablo Urbáez, in Majagual,” he commented.
Bello stated that after recovering from the shock of the robbery he went to file a complaint with the competent authorities in order to find the whereabouts of his attacker.
“I hope he is arrested and I suggest to the Cabraleños who have been victims of these antisocials like me, to report him so that these criminal cases do not go unpunished and we can continue living without fear,” he said.
The municipality of Cabral is located in the southern part of the country and belongs to the Barahona province.
