Duque attacks the Venezuelan regime: "Maduro is a dictator and those who validate him are his accomplices"

The former president of Colombia Iván Duque He referred to the situation in Venezuela, hours before Nicolás Maduro continues in office, despite the multiple criticisms he has received from the international community.

On his social networks, the politician recounted the closures that the Colombian-Venezuelan border has had for almost a decade and several governments. “Ignorance is daring. Chávez closed the border when his umbilical relationship with the FARC was denounced,” said.

Duque’s position towards the regime is not new or unknown, since in the past he opposed the Government of President Gustavo Petro reestablishing diplomatic relations between both countries and the appointment of an ambassador. “Take things by their name: Maduro is a dictator, and those who validate him are his accomplices,” said.

“Brutality is having been Chávez’s sycophant, Maduro’s correveidile, the validator of the dictatorship and the slave of the secrets that the oppressive regime keeps for him,” he added.

Duque assured that “We have been consistent all our lives. I reject the terrorism of the FARC, the ELN, the M-19the Medellín and Cali Cartel, as well as the AUC and the Gulf Clan,” he concluded.

“I reject the dictatorships of Pinochet, Videla, Fidel Castro, Ortega and Maduro alike. Others are “fighting cocks” with some and lambs with others, according to their personal debts,” he reiterated in his message.
