The search and recovery of the bodies of a father of a family and his 10-year-old son-in-law continue in Cusco, where both people fell into the Apurímac River in an incident that is being investigated by the authorities.

According to the Police, a family outing ended in tragedy, when Leonel Ccorimanya (10) approached the banks of the Apurímac River in the community of Cotahuasi (Espinar), to take a selfie, slipping into the turbulent waters of the river.
Seeing his son-in-law drown, Carlos Flores (34) would have decided to jump into the river, both disappearing in the strong torrent. The incident was immediately reported to the Police, whose agents went to the area of the incident in order to carry out search and rescue tasks.
In statements to MailPNP commander Geraldo Mirano, chief of police in Espinar, pointed out that the search operation began at the height of the so-called Santo Domingo Bridgelocated in the town of Coporaque, where the accident would have occurred.
He stated that at the moment five officers are working belonging to the Rescue Squad of the city of Sicuani, since in Espinar they do not have troops of this specialty.
