“The report sent to us by Senamhi and the entities involved in these issues makes us believe that the so-called La Niña phenomenon is in ‘non-active’ condition and will remain that way for the entire season, according to what is known. informs us,” he said at a PCM press conference.
Regarding the intense rains that have been recorded in the country and that have caused concern among Peruvians, the premier assured that they are “within normal limits,” but did not rule out that some streams could be activated.
“On the other hand, we were also told that, in relation to the rains, they will all be within normal margins. However, in some very focused areas, it is expected that it will rain with strong intensity but this will be sporadic,” said Adrianzén.
“We should be spending the entire rainy season within normal standards, not without excluding the possibility that some stream could eventually be activated by heavy rains,” he added.
OVERFLIGHT OVER RIVERS
Gustavo Adrianzén referred to the overflight he made with President Dina Boluarte over the Rímac and Chillón rivers, in order to verify their condition in the face of the increase in their flows as a result of the intense rains.
