Bruno Manini Ríos Moreira arrested for alleged robbery of his maternal grandfather

The complaint includes the theft of money and credit cards, and Justice will determine its procedural situation in the next few hours.

The crime would have occurred when Bruno Manini Ríos Moreira entered his grandfather’s home through a window. It was a domestic employee who detected the missing objects and notified Moreira, who proceeded to file the complaint.

The investigation included the analysis of security cameras that confirmed the presence of the grandson at the scene. After the evidence collected, the Artigas Prosecutor’s Office requested the arrest of the man, a measure that was ordered by departmental judge Hilda Toriani.

In Montevideo, police officers went to the home of the Manini Ríos Moreiras to execute the arrest warrant. At the scene they met with Senator Irene Moreira before transferring the detainee to Artigas.

Bruno Manini Ríos Moreira was taken this afternoon before the first shift departmental prosecutor, Nelly Beatriz González, to give a statement. He is charged, among others, with the crime of property violation.
