Andrea Vidal Case: Members of the Ad Hoc investigative commission resign from that group

The investigations continue. The woman who denounced the main person involved in the Andrea Vidal case for sexual rape, the former head of Legal Counsel in Parliament, Jorge Torres Saravia, will give her testimony today at the Oversight Commission.

PR Congresswoman, Norma Yarrow, announced that the plaintiff would be a victim of intimidation, by the former director of the Parliamentary Legal Advisory Office, involved in the death of the former worker and in the alleged pimping network.

Starting at 9:00 am, Rosita Viky Navarro, who reported sexual rape against JTS in 2020, will give her statement, as announced Peru21 at the end of December.

This is part of the investigations into the Andrea Vidal case, whose plot includes the death of the latter with more than 40 gunshots and the alleged existence of a prostitution network within the legislative body.

On Thursday, December 26, in the session of the Oversight Commission, Popular Renewal Congresswoman Norma Yarrow announced that the woman would be a victim of intimidation by the former head of the Parliament’s Legal Advisory Office.

In the session he reported the existence of a notarized letter that Torres Saravia sent to his complainant on the 14th of this month asking him to retract his complaint.

Torres Saravia, in his speech, accepted having sent that document, but said that he did so to defend his honor because, according to him, he did not abuse her.

This is today’s agenda at the Oversight Commission.

Also on the guest list is the head of the General Directorate of Administration (DGA), Carlos Pais, who is close to Alianza Para el Progreso (APP), the party of the president of the Legislature, César Salhuana.

Pais will respond for the second hiring of Torres Saravia, because the senior officer, Giovanni Forno, in his presentation on December 26 said that, in the year 2024, the director of administration, that is Carlos País, recommended the hiring of JTS .

When asked who recommended him for his first hire, in 2023, Forno indicated that he did not remember.

The list for today’s day is completed by: the technical secretary of the Chief Officer’s Office, Víctor Neciosup; the former head of Legal Counsel, José Antonio Rubio; two workers from that office, Christian Paull Carlos Aurelio (Legal Advisory Office) and Manuel Díaz (Legal Office); and a representative of the workers’ union, Tulio Vizcarra.

It will be a long day of statements.
