The Chamber of Deputies approved in this Tuesday’s session, in second reading, the bill that modifies Law 138-11, Organic of the National Council of the Judiciarywith the aim of adapting it to the new Constitutionproclaimed on October 27, 2024.
The project has already been approved by the Senate of the Republic, so, with the approval On second reading by the deputies, it becomes a Law and is only pending its promulgation by the Executive Branch.
Also, the deputies approved, in second reading, the bill that modifies articles 3, 25, 28, 33, 37, 45, as well as the repeal of articles 11 and 12 of Law 167-21, on Regulatory Improvement and Simplification of Procedures .
The legislative initiative deposited in Congress by the Executive Branch aims to differentiate the functions of coordinating regulatory improvement corresponding to the Ministry of Public Administration, from other powers reserved for those bodies and entities of the Public Administration that participate in this activity and that They play a regulatory role.
In addition, the deputies approved, in second reading, the bill that creates the Official State Gazette for the publication of modified laws, in order to regulate matters relating to the full publication of modified laws and their application throughout the national territory. .
Likewise, they approved in second reading, with some modifications, the bill that regulates the hiring of baseball prospects who are assigned to the Dominican Summer League (DSL) within the United States Major League Baseball (MLB) system. .
The initiative, which had been approved in the Senate, returns to that wing of Congress to learn about the aforementioned modifications.
The deputies paid a minute of silence in memory of the deceased Hugo Estrella, Ana Hilda Genao, Casilda Mota de Saldívar and Willis Orlando García.
