Yesterday, the Ministry of the Interior issued the guidelines of the Yes to Disarmament, Yes to Peace program, which consists of the exchange of firearms in exchange for an economic stimulus throughout the national territory.
For this year, the federal authorities will offer from four pesos to those who present certain types of cartridges, up to more than 26 thousand pesos for the delivery of light and heavy machine guns

In the document, published in an evening edition of the Official Gazette of the Federation (DOF), it is indicated that these actions will be executed by the Secretariat of National Defense, which will participate in the reception, destruction or conservation
of weapons.
Without yet defining the dates or places where this program will take place, it is indicated that any person of legal age may participate.
The tab includes the possibility of exchanging short and long weapons; artillery pieces; grenades or explosives; spelled or modified weapons, sports weapons and compressed air or gas weapons, as well as cartridges.
Light and heavy machine guns are the ones that have the greatest economic incentives for their exchange, since an amount of 26,450 pesos is established for a useful piece, or 11,815 pesos for one in condition. unusable

For semi-automatic and automatic rifles, including the AK47 or the Barret 50, 25 thousand pesos will be offered for useful weapons and 13,390 for an unusable one.
There are also models for which incentives are contemplated for just over 500 pesos; in addition to short weapons with amounts between 4 thousand and 9 thousand pesos.
These actions are intended contribute to the prevention and reduction of injuries, accidental deaths, homicides, femicides, as well as any other crime or expression of violence in general, as a result of the handling or use of firearms

With this, one seeks positively impact social crime prevention, culture and peacebuilding; the promotion of values, attitudes and behaviors that prevent different types of violence and address the causes that generate it

Rules for civil registration in consular offices
In another of the guidelines issued in the afternoon in the DOFthe Ministry of Foreign Affairs published the regulations for the issuance of civil registry acts in Mexican consular offices abroad.
With this, birth or death certificates, marriage certificates, corrections, or new birth records may be issued to recognize gender identity.
