The Public Ministry and the Ombudsman’s Office intervene in a conflict between prisoners held in the former General Penitentiary of Venezuela (PGV), located in San Juan de los Morros (Guárico).
Apparently, the authorities of Detachment 341 of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) have suspended visits to the prisoners of the aforementioned preventive detention center because there are allegedly seven of them with “bad behavior.” Such a situation was aired by a video that the prisoners uploaded to the social network TikTok.
The ombudsman Juan Sierra went to the headquarters of Detachment 341 to learn about the situation. While the Public Ministry appointed prosecutors 9 and 29 of Guárico in matters of human rights “to solve the problem that occurred in the preventive detention center,” as reported on social networks.
