Montoya pointed out that it will be a multiparty motion of censure, and that the text that Renovación Popular was going to present, as legislator Esdras Medina announced to this newspaper, can be accumulated or adhered to that of his political group.
The HyD congressman indicated that as soon as he delivers the motion of censure, the Permanent Commission will have to call an extraordinary session to decide to call an extraordinary plenary session, and not wait until March for a new session.
This is because Montoya considered that he does not believe there is time for the aforementioned motion to be presented tomorrow, which is the only date that the Permanent Commission will meet this month.
So, when it is delivered after this Tuesday, there will have to be an extraordinary session.
SALHUANA UNDER CONTROL
On the other hand, the trip to China of the head of the Legislature, Eduardo Salhuana, will not prevent him from being summoned to make his statement regarding this case in the Oversight Commission that investigates this case.
According to the head of the Oversight Commission, Juan Burgos, Salhuana and his predecessor in that position, Alejandro Soto, will be summoned to give their testimony between the 15th and 16th of this month.
Alejandro Soto, for his part, has confirmed to Perú21 that he will testify, although he announced that he will not accept any responsibility.

SOTO SPEAKS
On the other hand, Perú21 published today that the former head of Congress, Alejandro Soto, made a preview of what he will say at the Oversight Commission when he attends next week.
Soto indicated to Perú21 that he did not order Jorge Torres Saravia to be hired as head of the Chief Officer’s Office, in September 2023.
This, despite the fact that JTS obtained that position two months after Soto assumed the presidency of the Legislature.
“I have not hired Mr. Jorge Torres Saravia. As it appears in the resolution of his appointment to the Legal and Constitutional area, the person who has hired him is the senior officer (Giovanni Forno). Therefore, I have no connection with that issue” Soto told this medium.
“I have met Mr. Jorge Torres Saravia – Soto added – in Congress. Remember that I am a representative of Cusco, and Mr. Torres comes from the north of the country. Figueroa’s new call—the first was on December 26—is made to clarify the contradictions about how the main person involved in this case, the former head of the Parliamentary Legal Office Jorge Luis Torres Saravia, was hired.
THE SENIOR OFFICER
The senior official of the Legislature, Giovanni Forno, when he gave his testimony in the aforementioned commission, on the same date that Figueroa did, said that he did not remember who recommended him and handed over Torres Saravia’s curriculum vitae for hiring him in that position in September 2023.
But, he later pointed out that the second time Torres was hired, in 2024, he did so at the request of the General Director of Administration, Carlos País, who is very close to APP.
For this reason, País has also been called to testify for that day, the president of the Oversight Commission, Juan Burgos, told Perú21.
Andrea Vidal was cruelly murdered by hitmen with more than 40 bullets on her body. One of the hypotheses of the investigation is the existence of an alleged prostitution network within Congress and the participation in it that the former head of the Legal Advisory Office of the legislative entity Jorge Torres Saravia would have had.
It is not ruled out that there may be APP shielding in this case because Torres Saravia is close to César Acuña’s party.
