Train, subway and bus tickets are more expensive in the capital of São Paulo from this Monday (6). The cost to use the buses rose to R$5. Train and subway tickets in the state of São Paulo now cost R$5.20.
The Movimento Passe Livre (MPL) called for a demonstration against the increase in fares in São Paulo. The event is scheduled for next Thursday (9), at 6pm, with a gathering in front of the capital’s city hall.
In the capital of São Paulo, the court overturned the injunction that canceled the increase in bus fares, which had been requested by PSOL parliamentarians. They claimed that the decision to readjust the fares was taken without any popular participation.
