Uruguay registered this Tuesday 1938 new cases of coronavirus on a total of 7,632 tests, reported the National Emergency System (Sinae). The positivity rate was 25.4%, although duplicate tests are also included in some people (PCR and antigens).
What’s more, there were six deaths in the last 24 hours of patients with covid-19, between 61 and 97 years old. There were three patients from Montevideo, one from Cerro Largo, one from Soriano and one from Treinta y Tres. Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 2020, 6,991 deaths diagnosed with the disease in Uruguay.
Of the 1,938 new cases, 1,006 are from Montevideo, 247 from Canelones, 114 from Maldonado, 78 from Colonia, 61 from Paysandú, 53 from Rocha, 45 from San José, 43 from Florida, 39 from Lavalleja, 37 from Treinta y Tres, 32 from Salto, 31 from Artigas, 29 from Soriano, 29 from Tacuarembo, 28 from Cerro Largo, 24 from Rivera, 19 from Flores, 19 from Río Negro and four from Durazno.
There are 20,435 active cases and 116 are in critical care facilities.
