Santo Domingo.- The first feminicide of this year, 2025, took place this Wednesday in Santiago.
Yennifer Milagros Peña, 43 years oldwas murdered by her partner, Juan Manuel Vasquezalias Lile, who strangled the night of December 31 at his home in Santiago.
According to his family, Peña suffered constant attacks for almost 20 years of relationship, marked by separations and reconciliations motivated by fear what he felt towards his attacker.
His son reported that Peña never reported the abusesdespite the advice of his family, who feared that Lile would carry out his threats to harm them. “He once said he would kill the whole familyfrom the smallest to the largest,” he revealed.
