Gilia Gutiérrez, regional governor of Moquegua, attended a lunch organized by the Provincial Executive Committee of the Peru Primero party, led by the former president of the Republic, Martín Vizcarra.
Likewise, Gutiérrez was accompanied by regional manager Abraham Ponce at said celebration.
The governor justified her presence by indicating that she did so as a citizen.
“I have participated in a lunch organized by the Provincial Executive Committee of Mariscal Nieto, who invited me. With the greatest pleasure and with the greatest transparency I attended this event“, held.
He also reiterated his right to carry out political activity as a member of the Peru Primero party.
“It is no secret that I am living a political life in the party led by former president Martín Vizcarra. I am exercising the citizen’s right that helps me lead a party and political life.”he added.

Over the weekend, Governor Gilia Gutiérrez Ayala and the manager of the Regional Government of Moquegua, both affiliated with Martín Vizcarra’s Perú Primero political party, were caught dancing at a proselytizing activity for the former president. Likewise, several servants of the Regional Government of Moquegua participated in Vizcarra’s political campaign program in Ilo.
In this regard, lawyer Julián Gómez Jahuira pointed out that there is clear evidence that they have broken the principle of neutrality and made a flagrant breach of functional acts according to their hierarchy. “They cannot exceed the limits of legal regulations because they exercise public administration“, indicated the lawyer.
Calls on institutions to speak out
Jahuira noted that the JNE, the ONPE, the Ombudsman’s Office, the Crime Prevention Prosecutor’s Office and other entities are responsible for controlling these types of acts, verifying the scenario in which the authorities participate. “A political campaign is being carried out and it becomes more serious if the officials are linked to the party, no further evidence is needed“added the lawyer.
For her part, Gilia Gutiérrez responded that she is a citizen who looks forward to Martín Vizcarra’s candidacy for president and decided to participate in a Peru Primero party lunch. “They invited me and I am a woman with values, I don’t like to hide or deceive the population. It is not a secret that I am leading a political life led by Martín Vizcarra”said Gutiérrez.
