PUERTO PLATA:-The government intensified social aid this weekend in favor of vulnerable families who were affected by the rainy storm that recently occurred in different communities in this province.
These aids were distributed by the Vice President of the Republic, Raquel Peña; the Minister of the Presidency, José Ignacio Paliza; the director of the Dominican Institute of Civil Aviation (IDAC), Igor Rodríguez Durán, representatives of the Social Plan of the Presidency, the governor of this province, Claritza Rochette Senior, pro-government legislators, including deputies Emil Durán, the brothers Jhonny and Juan Medina .
The beneficiaries reside in the Nuevo Renacer sectors, of the San Felipe de Puerto Plata municipality; El Tamarindo (Montellano); La Ciénaga, from the Cabarete district, among others.
Several of these families received household goods from the President’s Social Assistance Plan, including beds, refrigerators, stoves, food rations, mattresses, beds and cooked food from the Economic Kitchens.
These aids delivered on the occasion by the director of Idac Rodríguez Durán and the representative of the Executive Branch Rochette Senior were deposited in the hands of religious and community leaders, who previously carried out a census as a survey, in order to identify which families have truly been that were affected by the rains
In addition, the provincial directorate of Civil Defense participates in these works.
Both officials spoke about the follow-up that President Luis Abinader and Minister Paliza are giving to these social efforts, who constantly communicate by telephone to take stock of how these operations are going.
The trustees Diómedes Roque García (Puerto Plata) have joined this event; Héctor Almonte (Montellano) and the director of the Cabarete district board, Freddy Cruz.
PRORITIES
This past Saturday, government officials continued working on people’s priorities due to the downpours in this destination on the North coast.
On this occasion, about 30 families from the El Javillar neighborhood of this city visited.
Later they traveled to the Los Arquíes city of the Belloso district of the Luperón municipality.
The director of the district board, Isaac Reynoso, the deputy director of the Social Assistance Plan of the Office of the President, Francisco García, and the councilors of Puerto Plata Roque De León and Frank Melo participated in this activity.
