Health workers lift pressure measures, but doctors continue to threaten strike

Unlike general health workers, doctors affiliated with the Federation of Unions of Medical Branches of Public Health (Fesirmes) They maintain the warning of a 48-hour strike scheduled for Monday, December 30 and Tuesday, December 31.

Evert Patiño, Secretary of Conflicts at Fesirmes, assured that although the November salary has already been paid, rehiring of 100% of staff must be completed before Monday to avoid new measures.

“We continue in a state of emergency and accompanying the signing of contracts. If the municipality’s commitment to rehire all staff by Sunday is not met, the strike on Monday and Tuesday remains firm”, he noted.
