The Minister of Education, Juan Manuel Brunetti, was presented this Monday as a candidate for the vice presidency of the Republic by the Republican Force movement, led by Hugo Velázquez.
“I need a person who comes to add, to contribute with knowledge and that his youth give new airs to the Colorado Party,” Hugo Velázquez said at a press conference, introducing his running mate, Juan Manuel Brunetti.
The current vice president considers that Brunetti meets all the requirements mentioned to accompany him in the presidential badge, since he maintained that he showed “leadership and capacity” at the head of the Education portfolio at this time.
“I am sure that he will accompany me with a lot of decision and courage in this crusade that will not be easy, but I am sure that we will reach the desired objective. We are convinced that Paraguay needs brave men, men capable of confronting the mafia,” Velázquez stressed.
For his part, Juan Manuel Brunetti, stated that he needs the support of all Paraguayans and is confident in the decision taken to accompany Velázquez in the presidential badge.
“It is time to get all of us involved, it is time to rebel to build a better Paraguay. I am convinced that it is necessary to fight for a better country for our children,” added Brunetti.
