The official text states: “The investigative statement of the President of the Republic, Dina Ercilia Boluarte Zegarra, is received on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at 09:00 a.m., and must necessarily have her free technical defense.” choice”. This is within the framework of investigations into alleged illicit enrichment and alleged misuse of state assets.
According to the document, the preliminary investigation carried out against Boluarte, as the alleged perpetrator of the crime against the administration of justice, is declared complex, in the form of personal cover-up to the detriment of the State.
Others involved in this case are Félix Enrique Montalvo Guevara, driver of the vehicle assigned to the president, as well as José Luis Fernández Tairo, driver of the unit assigned to the Ministry of the Interior; Luis Angulo Huerta, official of the Mininter, Carlos Enrique Cárdenas Bernaola, in his capacity as an official of the Military House of the Government Palace, and the Minister of the Interior, Juan José Santiváñez Antúnez.
As recalled, the “El Cofre” case generated a stir due to complaints of alleged illicit enrichment and possible misuse of State resources.
