On December 23, the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime (FEMDO) obtained another formal prison order against Osiel Cárdenas for the murder of six people.

In this context, as part of the preliminary investigation PGR/SIEDO/UEIDCS/014/2007, which corresponds to the seventh district court in criminal matters based in Jalisco, during the preparatory statement it was made known to Cárdenas Guillén that two of his collaborators, identified as José The Cholo, and Isidro L., declared to the Federal Public Ministry that by order of the boss they murdered the relatives of another member of the Gulf cartel.
According to the information obtained, on April 29, 2007, criminal action was taken without arrest, among others, against Cárdenas Guillen, for qualified homicide.
The victims were Trinidad del Carmen Ramos, Gabriela Antonio Ramos, Karina Ramos, Roxana Antonio Ramos, Guadalupe Vázquez Guzmán and Rosendo N. The homicides were committed in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, and Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz.
