The Government will inaugurate a soy by-product transformation plant this Thursday in San Julián

This Thursday, December 26, The inauguration of the Soybean Byproduct Transformation Plant will take place in the municipality of San Julián, in the department of Santa Cruz.

The central event is scheduled for 9:00 and will be attended by the President of the State, Luis Arce Catacora.

State media indicated that, This work will address the growing need for collection, storage and transformation of soybeans in eastern Bolivia, from the incentive to agricultural production and the consolidation of the strategic food reserve.

The investment in it, according to ABI, is greater than Bs 424.4 million and Its production capacity will reach 180 metric tons (mt) of crude oil per dayalso 50 mt of husk per day, 750 mt per day of soybean cake and 1,000 mt of soybean grain processing.

A few days ago, the vice minister of Industrialization Policies, Luis Siles, stated that the plant will produce soybean cake for poultry producers and crude oil that will be used for the refining industries of Bolivia and also for the biodiesel plants of Yacimientos Petrolófilos Fiscales Bolivianos (YPFB).

This is one of the 170 industrial plants, 63 of which are managed by the Ministry of Productive Development and Plural Economy, which They have the objective of substituting imports, boost the country’s economy and generate sources of employment.
