Back to school in January 2025
The official calendar of the Ministry of Public Education (SEP) establishes that basic education students, which includes preschool, primary and secondary school, will return to classes on Thursday, January 9, 2025. This date marks the restart of activities after the period of winter vacation.
When do high schools start?
Students enrolled in high schools of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) must return to classes on Monday, January 6, 2025, like students in the National Polytechnic Institute (IPN) system. This means that the resumption of activities for this level will be before that of basic education.
