The eight best placed in the first round of the Novo Basquete Brasil (NBB) will begin competing from January 25th in the Copa Super 8, a knockout tournament with single games. The last to guarantee a place, Vasco (7th place) will face vice-leader Flamengo, in the Classic of Millions. The leader Minas Tênis Clube faces São Paulo (8th). The other clashes will be Franca (3rd) x Pinheiros (6th) and Brasília (4th) x União Corinthians (5th).
The champion of the Super 8 Cup will guarantee their presence in the 2025/2026 Americas League. The biggest champion of the tournament, played since 2018, is Flamengo (three titles), followed by two-time champion Franca.

The second round of the NBB, which brings together the 18 best teams in the country, continues from next Friday (25), with the start of the 23rd round of the first phase, which ends on April 16, 2025. The 16 best teams placed will compete in the round of 16. Unlike the previous edition, from the round of 16 to the title-winning final, the classified teams will play a series of five games (two more than last season) to advance in the tournament. The title decision is scheduled for June 2025. Franca is the current champion and holds three cups in the competition.
