Through a memorandum, issued on December 19, the general secretary of the National Land Agency (ANT), Ángela Lorena Ortiz Rosero, requested the directors, deputy directors and heads of offices of the entity to carry out their duties in a manner virtual from home in the remainder of 2024, due to the delay in payments to some contractors.

In the document, which circulates on social networks, it reads that “In response to the supervening budgetary circumstances, which are publicly known, explicit in the lack of disbursement of resources by the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit, recommends to the directors, deputy directors, heads of offices and in general supervisors of the Agency National Land Office, give priority to the provision of contractual services, preferably virtually, at the end of the 2024 term.”.
As occurs in the National Land Agency, contractors from other public entities such as Dane, the National Protection Unit (UNP), Invias, the Ministry of Agriculture, the ICBF and the DAPRE They did not receive the December salary payment due to failures in the Ministry of Finance’s transfers.

Regarding the complaint, the National Administrative Department of Statistics recently assured that as soon as it has the resources it will proceed with the pending payments.
“We regret this situation. As soon as the respective resources are available, we will proceed with the pending payments that correspond to 2024. Our priority is that this be done as soon as possible and we are working on it.”Dane said in a statement.
In this regard, the Minister of Finance, Diego Guevara, said that the delays are due to efficient cash management due to low tax collection.
(Besides: San Victorino merchants lowered prices between 30% and 40% for Christmas).
A few days ago Guevara said that some payments should be moved to the beginning of 2025, due to the fiscal inconveniences that have arisen.
“There are other expenses that will surely move to the validity of the first days of 2025 due to this drop in collection, however, we are trying to prioritize payments,” he explained.
