The minimum wage of Colombian workers will have an increase of 9.54% by 2025, which translates into an increase of $123,500. With this setting, The minimum monthly remuneration will go from $1,300,000 to $1,423,000.

With the percentage increase, the value of the transportation aid for next year was also announced, which will be close to $200,000. That is to say, With this benefit the salary will be $1,623,500.
The salary adjustment was defined via decree by the National Government, after an agreement could not be reached in the meetings of the tripartite table of which representatives of businessmen and labor unions are also part.
When justifying the decreed increase, President Gustavo Petro stated that inflation by 2024 is expected to close at 5%; while the growth in food prices is above 2.7%. “It is a growth in the standard of living of all people who link their income to the minimum wage,” he added.

Transportation assistance is a benefit to which public servants and private workers who earn up to twice the amount are entitled. Current Legal Monthly Minimum Wage (SMLMV).
To have access to this, the employee must have an employment contract and work under a dependent modality.
