Icetex gave an opportunity to beneficiaries who faced difficulties in their educational financing payments, to catch up and continue enjoying the benefits of the entity.

The last solutions day of the year facilitated agreements for 25,926 studentswho achieved more favorable conditions, such as the reduction in the interest rate from CPI+4% to CPI+2%.
Within the framework of these agreements, It was established that those who comply with the commitments acquired will be able to access forgiveness of up to 100% of the current interest due and late payments.a benefit that represents a total amount of $17,021 million on this day.

Álvaro Urquijo Gómez, president of Icetex, highlighted the importance of these initiatives by pointing out that “In 2025 we will continue with these days to find solutions that support students with payment difficulties. We cannot allow any barrier to get in the way of the dreams of thousands of Colombians who see in ICETEX the opportunity to achieve their goal of becoming professionals.”.
He added that they hope that those who participated comply with the established agreements and can benefit from the reduction in the rates of their financial supportto continue working to make education available to everyone.

Among the departments with the highest participation in the last day, Bogotá stood out with 4,797 beneficiaries who reached agreements, followed by Atlántico with 3,288, Antioquia with 1,848, Valle del Cauca with 1,751 and Córdoba with 1,709.

Six solutions days have also been carried out, allowing 130,761 people in default to reach agreements. These commitments, if fulfilled, will represent a forgiveness of close to $90,000 million in current overdue and delinquent interests, a significant relief for thousands of Colombian families.
For those beneficiaries who were not able to participate in these sessions and face difficulties in staying up to date, ICETEX keeps its service channels open. These allow more Colombians to find solutions and benefit from the agreed conditions according to the entity’s portfolio recovery regulations.
