After the government announcements, criticism from the Broad Front was not long in coming.
The coordinator of the campaign for the “Yes” to the repeal of 135 articles of the LUC, Esteban Valenti, said that “in the previous 15 years, gasoline was increased by 23.3 pesos, an average: 0.12 pesos per month.”
While “in less than two years of 135 LUC articles, fuels have already increased by 20 pesos, an average of 0.84 pesos per month. Seven more times!”
Valenti noted that last month they increased fuel by 3 pesos, this month 2%, “to manipulate prices, underestimate our intelligence. Politicians are not smarter than other people. The failure 135 of the LUC is evident and the increase in the basic basket is evident”.

The legislator considered that “although the war situation between Russia and Ukraine may affect the price of fuel, the government will use it as an excuse to give another blow.”
In the same sense, the legislator from the Front Amplio Sebastián Sabini questioned the government because when it was in the opposition it said that the FA’s achievements were due to a “tail wind”.
“Today with record prices in raw materials, for the second year wages and pensions fell, fuel, school supplies and food rose. There is no spillover, there are policies for or against the great majorities”, he sentenced.
