Ministry of Labor makes program in favor of women

Since last year, the Ministry of Labor, together with Junior Achievement Dominicana and the Las Américas Free Trade Zone, has been developing an innovative program aimed at women between 18 and 30 years old.

The program focuses on women who have completed secondary education, who have access to the internet and can dedicate twelve hours a week for five months to be trained in various technical areas. Once prepared, different companies are called so that they can employ the participants.

Luis Miguel de Camps, Minister of Labor, speaking at the second Digital Woman job fair, said that this represents a firm step towards the training and employability of young women in the technological field.

He pointed out that this event is a clear example of the shared commitment to promoting a more equitable labor market without discrimination.
